Over the course of several years, Delta Air Lines in cooperation with five major US convention bureaus sponsored the Gateway Showcase Program, a series of meetings, educational seminars and programs for overseas meeting planners held in Delta’s five “gateway” cities on a rotating basis. In addition to exploring Delta’s products and services, these educational programs showcased each partner destination by demonstrating the local facilities and unique fun-filled activities each gateway city could offer to corporate and incentive groups.
The challenge was to locate a company capable of handling all the graphic design, ad graphic designs and finally deliver the printed program and support materials to the show in a every short window of time.
Ferrante & Associates, Inc. handled the design and print for the Gateway Showcase Program year after year, compressing a huge burst of activity into a preparation period of just over a month. Our task was to develop a comprehensive set of materials including a program folder, brochure, branded itineraries, schedules, etc. and to version this package for each of the gateway cities as the venue changed.
Sponsor pages, city ads, itinerary, hotel and other ads, names and data of exhibitors including their booths and locations, names and data of buyers from all over the world – all this came together for a meeting of a few short days.
Combining Ferrante’s single source capabilities with exacting attention to detail worked. Even when last minute changes were required, the Showcase budget and deadlines were met every time!
